This is a one-hour private composition lesson, either in-person or via Zoom. Topics are wide open, but we can certainly focus on various compositional approaches with emphasis on composing for improvising musicians. Also helpful is addressing the intersection of composition and bandleading — how to shape and present a composition in order to engender maximum creativity and get the most out of oneself and one’s collaborators.
