Poems and Other Things, as in tone poems, is my first album and was released in 1997 on the Papillon Sounds label.  This moody collection of thirteen instrumental pieces forges a place beyond time and genre where melancholy is met with hope.  The music features Chris Cheek on tenor and soprano saxophones, Roberta Piket on piano, Rob Garcia on drums with me on acoustic bass and composition.
